Although nothing crazy, this caught my attention anyhow. Seemed pretty off target. Just thought I'd share it as a curiosity.

Just some of the reasons for misplaced mintmarks. Wait til you find one of the RPM's that peak out from under the coat!


Edit: Not kidding, 1960D's come to mind! One year has one between the coat and rim...?

I've seen some pretty erratic ones before like tilted and touching the 9 but have never found any.

I've never even found one like yours. Cool catch!

Have you weighed it? 1982 is sought after for multiple errors while switching from copper to zinc. Should be about 3.1g for copper 2.5g for zinc
