Hi Guys,

Got this in some change the other day (in the same handful of coins I also got a 1998 Rabbit Eared $1!!) and I'm not too sure whether this is PMD or an actual clip. Could anyone help me identify please, and potentially how much it could be worth?

Clipped-2016-10-Cent?

If it is a clip it would be pretty interesting being a pretty recent coin.

Thanks,
Nik.

I think it might be a double clip.

Very nice example of a clipped coin.It shows the Blakesley effect with the turned out rims at the clip and opposite effect.

Nice find, Nikstaa101!
It looks like Uncirculated one.

Well done!

Thanks guys! Do you reckon it would be worth getting graded and slabbed?

An Unc double clip is a nice error. Slabbing however isn't cheap and especially for a single error coin. Not just the slabbing fee (higher for errors) but also the cost of return postage. Doubt you would get any change out of $300 (and that isn't counting the cost of membership). Even in a bulk errors submission through a dealer (perhaps $100) it still wouldn't be worth it.

Ouch! Didn't realise it was that expensive, might be a good idea not to do that, ha!

Also keep in mind that there's a very slight possibility that it'll get lost or stolen during transit, so don't get it slabbed unless you're willing to take that risk. You can always take out insurance on it, but that will never replace the original coin.

Yeah, excellent points, I wouldn't want to have it stolen or get lost in the mail!!
