This is a follow-up to my post yesterday about strangely colored silver proofs.

I really liked the look of the natural toning on two of my silver proof dimes so I went back to my coin store yesterday. Out of a bag of over 200 silver proof quarters I found these eight with nice toning.

It is hard to tell in the photo but only the Washington bust has toning, the rest of the coin is mirror finish.

They may not have any additional value but I am starting a page in my coin album dedicated to proofs with toning.

And by the way, I got them for the price of junk silver :)

Nice coins. Does your coin store really keep proofs in bags?

Yup, they are in a bag. They are from broken-up silver proof sets.

Buy them all just to save them from such abuse.

Should be coin shelters for abused coins.
