I'm new to the party - but I spent exactly $400 in crisp, uncirculated $2 notes over the last few months. I got them in two BEP wrapped batches (100 notes each) from a national bank up north. I spent them all over town any time I bought something small (soda, stamps, etc.). The most I spent at one time was 10 notes (so $20) at a Star Market when their credit card chip readers were down. The cashier liked them and didn't say a word.

I guess it has been a long time since I posted on the $2 thread. I don't think it was this one. I guess I better get back in the game. But I have been trying to keep track of $2 bills that I have spent. I love spending $2 bills. I also spend dollar and half dollar coins, but I get the best responses from $2 bills. The most common response is "wow, I am going to keep this one". Only once have I gotten the response "is this real?". But I do not like it when the cashier just hides it under the drawer. Grrr.

Anyway, I counted 261 bills spent which adds up to $522, most of which were spent one at a time.

$51,554 to go.
