There was a guy at the coin show this weekend trying to sell one of those "original" dollar rolls with a CC dollar on each end, he had purchased on ebay. Not a dealer at the show was willing to buy it except for at the price of two common CC dollars and 18 avg circ dollars. Call it around $800 or less. Guy had paid $2750 for it.

Was it an unsearched roll? You never know, might have contained a BU 1893S in there!

Thanks for the feedback. I cancelled two orders I had after hearing from everybody on this forum. I do believe old rolls are out there, but you really have to know what you are looking for. Thanks again everybody!

It's hard to believe anyone on ebay would really sell "UNSEARCHED" anything, in my humble opinion.

I too have purchased few " inherited", "unsearched", "from my pa" ender rolls when I started collecting after 20 years of hiatus. Leave a negative rating if you are not satisfied. they will try anything to reverse negative or neutral ratings.
