How can it be? An American tells us about an error that we don't know about.

Seems like there was indeed an error $1 coin caught in the wild that was sold for almost 10X over FV. http://www.ebay.ca/itm/Error-2017-C...AOSwdGFYtLosJust FYI, another similar auction is on now, not Canada 150 related but still a new 2017 coin though. Images adapted from the specific seller as below. http://www.ebay.ca/itm/Error-2017-C...AOSwhQhYziS4*Error* 2017 Canada 150 Special Edition $1 Dollar Coin Connecting A Nation RARE *Error* 2017 Canada 125th Anniversary Stanley Cup 25 Cents Coin Rare Weak Strike

I wouldn't really call these types of coins errors, more of filled die or maybe scratched die or struck on debris, but each to their own

These are minor die chips or simply coins banging into each other in the process of falling into the bulk bins, toonies are made at 200 or so a minute, as long as the coins meet minimum specs they are ok. Would you pay much premium for this toonie ?
