Ron, the surface of this coin looks pretty porous (e.g. below his ear and in the fold between his neck and shoulder). Is that pretty common with these?

To me this coin looks like a cast reproduction. The lack of detail, porous field surfaces, and mushiness of the figures and lettering are very similar to the appearance of a silver cast piece in my rogue's gallery. Not sure that the fact it is bronze makes a difference.

I agree with LRBGuy, this looks cast (or to be passed off as a forgery of an AE AS. I can't see any mark on the coin to show it is a copy and hence to be taken only as a copy). The lettering is also odd, such as the "S C".
