My girlfriend, who knows nothing about coin collecting, heard me talking to a friend about upgrading my 7070 Type Book a couple weeks ago. Then today, she surprises me with this! I think I'm gonna hang onto to her...and my girlfriend too! *** Moved by Staff to a more appropriate forum. ***

Yummy coin. I will refrain from any comments concerning your girl friend.

Great pick-up! And a pretty nice coin too...

Jeezum. I've never, ever heard of a woman--either in my personal life or elsewhere--caring a whit about coin collecting.
And now here is that woman, and she's your girlfriend. And she gets you a beautiful coin. She's a keeper!

If you've got a girl that's willing to go out of her way to get you a coin based just off of a conversation you had with another person that she overheard, then I'd say she's worth keeping. No joking.

I second everything these guys have said. Slabs are a safer choice for numismatic newbies, and she seemed to know that too. I'm impressed!

The funny part is I showed the coin to my friend and his first words were, "does she have a sister?"
