Hey need some helo with this one the 9 and the 8 I'm the date look oddly thick, possible double die?

Really ? Rest of coin looks in fairly good condition to get PMD only on date?

You never know where that one good blow may fall.

I can see, especially on the 9, the depression into the metal that caused the thickening. A doubled die would not cause a depression like that.
