1971 Proof Ike Fading Peg Leg - Coin Community Forum

Rpuckett Valued Member United States 67 Posts	Posted 03/23/2017 4:28 pm Learning about Ike Proofs. I came across one of my Proof 1971s with a peg leg. It looks like it is a fading peg leg. I was also amazed at the mirror quality of this coin. So much so that I had a difficult time taking photos as you can see the top of my scope mirrored in the reverse photo. Is this a later die state because of the overpolishing for proof coins that created this fading leg? Also, what distinguishes CAM from DCAM and could this be a DCAM?
