I bought 4 rolls of cents on ebay (1959 D, 1961 D, 1964 D, 1968 D) and this is one from each roll. I'm wondering what these coins will grade. (I didn't pick and choose. I just grabbed one from each roll)

Thanks in advance,
Blair

Are those scratches on the 1959?
1959 D - MS 61
1961 D - MS 62
1964 D - AU 58
1968 D - MS 64

To be honest I'm not sure... if they are they show on the reverse of most of the coins in the roll... but ONLY on the reverse.

thanks for your response,
Blair

Did you buy all the rolls from the same seller? It may be you bought a roll of 59-d cents that were polished with a fine wire wheel. Better check them out under magnification.
Rest in Peace

That 59 is interesting. Looking expanded, the lines run up to bust, not over as well meaning it was either a rough planchet (#1 guess) or (#2) heavily polished die which I don't think because of #1...huh you say? If wizzed, scratch patterns would be on bust and memorial, check other coins in roll, same w/others. All except 64 are MS 61/62, a better 64 may make it into MS range.

. Good source for nice RPM's!

The 59-D appears to be whizzed, but it may just be the lighting.

I'd give it a MS61 maybe 62 but that rev looks all scratched up and if so will drop it down.

Very odd. Why would anybody whiz a 1959-D cent?
