Didn't take me long to figure out I'm not going to find many of the early years going thru rolls of cents. Idea!! Buy them. Put up a sign in my son's service station. Buying wheat leaf pennies, yes I used pennies, didn't want to confuse the public. 3 cents apiece or $1.50 a roll. At first nothing, but word must be getting around, a few rolls have been trickleing in. Mostly late 30s, 40s and 50s. Have managed to pick up a 1909, 1911 and a 1912D. If any of the cent collecters here are tight with someone dealing with the public, this might be worth your while.

Very nice...I am going to try craigslist to see how that goes. I have had some very good luck acquiring silver coins this way (got a 1894-P Morgan in a collection and my raw cost was under $20).

You can put up a sign in your business: "Half price if you pay in Lincoln Wheatback Cents!"

If you sell them in bags of 5000 for $100 each, then you have the same amount as a full price building (not worth the time, since you will have to list and sell those bags!). But if you sell the bags for $150, then you just got an extra %50 for the building!

Hmmm... I'm trying to determine how many of the 484,000 09SVDB's will fit in that wheelbarrow!

not as many as you would think since most of them are entombed in 2"x3" coffins!

Too Funny, because that was being factored in as part of my calculation!
