Yes, there are peppered speckles on the coin. However, I think it's a fault of the metal.
I love how my camera has such high resolution. The black speckles actually protrude outwards, as seen by a 60x loupe.
However, it is genuine in hand.

It is nearly impossible to get a mold that fine (and would be very cost prohibitive, meaning another coin would be used), and it is against metallurgical physics to produce coin luster using the casting method.

AU53/55 but something about the overall eye appeal of this coin is off. I dont know if it was burnished some how or dipped or ? and something is going on right above the date. but hey for that price
