Seems like most people are using one of three methods: 1) digital camera with macro, 2) USB microscope with capture software, and 3) phone camera with an app.

I do not have Windows 10. I will cling to Windows 7 for as long as possible. The software for my Celestron scope says it will work on Windows XP/Vista/7/8. While it does not specifically say Win 10, it works fine on my 64-bit Win 7. If it works on Win 8, it should work on Win 10.

Digital cameras nowadays act as another drive when you connect them to a USB port. I think any of the newer cameras will have no problem with Win 10.

I used to have Windows 8, then 8.1, and now Windows 10. The same Canon camera tethering software worked on all 3 versions, although I may have updated it somewhere along the way.

With the Canon T6s, I haven't noticed anything different on Windows 10.

If you can get it tethered that's the best way to go.

This software comes with modern Canon DSLRs. I assume it does not work for other cameras.

It looks like some scratches, can't say more due to low resolution of picture.
