IMO Would not be worth slabbing unless it would make MS64 or higher and then only if you could get it for $20-$25.

Common date, 9.9 million minted. MS-65 would fetch $150 to $200, maybe. This one is AU-55 at best, $30-35, IMHO

Absolutely not. Even the VAM-4, 19 and 20 list VAMs are not worth slabbing in this condition. If you want a slabbed '96 out and get one already graded.

If you had a 96-S or 96-O in mint condition it would be worth slabbing. If you got a conditional rarity you would want to buy it in a slab IMO. I think any coin over $500 should only be bought in a slab graded by one of the big three.

I won't slab my coins unless it's ms 68 and higher for common dates.

Looks like an AU-55 or 58. The 1896 dollar is a very common date. It's not worth the slab fee.
