corroded and polished and what appears to be a Cud with retained broken die.

That's a neat looking die crack and Cud Dorado! Can you provide some photos that are a little sharper?

I just realized that your coin is a very late state of the Haxby PC59-412 (41+I3).

Viper, does this look familiar?

Thanks Dorado. Those last two photos show the gap in the vine above leaf #2 which the group I reverses have.
The reverse die was about ready to be retired when this coin was struck.
