1922 2 Franc French coin looks like someone put in a roller. Original size 27.3mm 2mm thick new size 26.4mm 3.3mm thick

Here's my sad example of coin "vandalism":   The two-cent coin is one of my favorite designs - I like the size, weight, imagery, etc. The hole hurts my head especially because it obstructs the date (1864).

With a weight of 3.23 grams, I believe this has been plated to a silver hue. Quite well done, exhibits a satiny and subdued luster. I'm thinking of it as possible fodder for making an elongated.
