There are a boat load of 1879 through 1881 "O" mint dollars out in coinland that are like this. They look like the were placed in circulation for a few days and then magically withdrawn from circulation. Report this Post to the Staff

I just think it is weird that there is an abnormal amount of near-miss unc 1879-O through 1881-O dollars out in coin land. (The same holds true for 1884-S dollars!). Why? I do not know.
