Pertinax Pillar of the Community United Kingdom 2133 Posts	Posted 04/01/2017 4:54 pm I haven't seen any of the new £1 coins in circulation yet ! According to The Royal Mint they were distributed to banks weeks ago for release last Monday. My local bank says they won't arrive here (southern Scotland) until 13th April. Have you seen one yet ? Today I needed to go to Maidstone, so I made a little detour to Sittingbourne, which is the nearest place on the map to where I live and is just a few miles from Maidstone. In the branch of Santander was a notice stating that the new £1 coins were only available to Santander customers. Luckily I am one! I asked the cashier if I could have some of the new coins, and was told they were rationed to 2 per customer! So I got my first two - both dated 2016! Hope you get some soon! Seems the 2017 dated coins have not been released yet. Also, a mule has been reported with 2017 in the micro lettering but dated 2016.... Report this Post to the Staff

Dated 2016 on the obverse, but the tiny micro lettering on the reverse says 2017. Nobody knows how many are out there yet tho, so keep your eyes peeled !! I only have 4 so far. Rationed to two from the bank, and another two from the betting shop. Hope to visit my old postmistress to get a bag or two shortly. Report this Post to the Staff

They've got hundreds of bags already, and all searched through to find any with the word 'trial' written on, as these are worth over £200 ! Micro-lettering - it has very small lettering on the lower inside rim on both sides of the coin. While I haven't noticed any major flaws, I have one where the floral crown is slightly more to the left than the others. See how much of the shamrock overlaps the outer ring? Cookinwegaz New Member United Kingdom 30 Posts	Posted 04/16/2017 07:21 am I've noticed more in circulation now no mules as of yet but I did find one like yours kolbi but mines more to the right the initials under the crown are almost in the outer ring and I got two with doubling around the crown and stems of the flowers and one still has a burr around the edge Report this Post to the Staff
