I don't usually buy modern coins, ancients are more my area so I'm beyond my comfort zone here. I came across this coin on ebay from a trusted dealer I buy ancients from and was impressed with it's massive size and design.
The coin is from the Ottoman Empire (Turkey) struck during the reign of the Sultan Selim III, 1789 - 1807 when he was killed by assassins after the revolt of the Janissary (Household guard)
AR 1 Yuzluk or 100 Para Dated AH 1203/04 (1792 AD) Struck at the Istanbul mint The obverse the Toughua above the date. The reverse is a legend which I haven't been able to translate. This is a massive coin at 45mm x 31.01g
