I have a 1950 D penny.. Note the date and the "L" in liberty. There appears to be letters above the date. What is it worth?

Can you get a straight-on closeup of the date?
but it looks recessed from getting hit with something, which also caused the 0 to flatten a little. Also does the reverse opposite the date look flattened some?

to the forum!

It appears to be a lamination error, but clearer pictures would help us to know for sure.

Looks like a lamination issue around the date. Nice coin!

To add on a little to what everyone else has said, the L in LIBERTY is either worn or weakly struck -- a very common occurrence that I'm sure you'll see more of.
