wow...
i really cant tell wheither the coin is doubled or not.
(sometimes I seem to have difficulty - when the photos are even clearer than yours are.)

however in that condition - even if it is doubled, it really isn't worth much more that bragging rights...(only an opinion)..

Good god that's an ugly coin. I think what we're looking at here is zinc rot to the extent that the entire copper coating is in the process of sloughing off. I may be wrong but i'd call that PMD*.

Did you wash your hands after holding that?




PMD*- I'm calling this post mint damage with the qualifier that if the mint hadn't switched to this type of planchet, the same strike wouldn't look like this at all. So it's their fault but it doesn't count as an error or variety.

My god that coin is ugly. Can't tell if it's a double die though.
