It's old recycled legislation, but I agree with it. My guess is that zinc is up significantly now, melt on 82-14 pennys or cents is around .007 right now so it's a good time to harp on the cost of that. But yeah, eliminating the paper dollar would be easy, just lol, stop printing it and start releasing the 1.5 billion plus dollar coins into the system as needed. I would love to watch the people keep re-using the tattered dollars until they become chaff. The penny, they just want to stop making that too, I think they suggested minting more nickels and two dollar notes to make up for this change.
