Hi, I'm starting a website about investing and collecting coins, but I'm struggling to come up with topics for my first couple posts. I know once a post some stuff I'll get rolling. Any ideas are greatly appreciated

Personally I feel that investing and collecting are 2 VERY different things.

So if it were me, my first article would be trying to explain the differences between the 2.

Might want to touch on the different sources of coins (brick and mortar stores, online, live auctions etc) and the pros and cons of each. Novices might not have any idea about buyer's premiums or seller's fees (which will set back your investment by a healthy percentage).

Touch on the dangers of counterfeits and resources to reduce your risk of getting stung (guide books, forums etc)

TPG should be discussed in depth, again with pros and cons.

A searchable list of coin clubs, organizations & websites (like CCF) would also be helpful.

Good luck in your endeavor

Cool. Is it more educational, meant to sell, or both?

This is tangentially related but has anyone considered making a coin discord, especially in parallel with a website. I'm not sure if there are any but I'd consider making one in the future if none exist.

A discord is a kind of forum, I think. Similar to an IRC chat. Very popular lately.

I just meant its only partially related to a website.

This. They were originally only used by gamers and what not but I've seen them for basically anything nowadays. Discord is just a very convenient way to chat about something whether its voice chatting or creating a bunch of topics, thats why I brought it up.

I do not see how using that would be any benefit to me.

I don't know maybe it wouldn't, but I know it markets itself as a gamer thing when its really just a nice mode of communication for groups of people with common interests.
