I have been looking at picking up a 1795 Half.
Below are 2 that I have been looking at.
I wonder what the Family thinks of them?
#1 or #2? Or neither one?
I do not know the varieties or there rarity.
So any information would be nice.
So here is number 1.

And here is number 2. An O-102 Maybe?

I appreciate all of the information that CCF members share!
That knowledge is what makes this hobby so interesting.

They both look about the same grade. I would go with the second coin. I'm not sure what's going on with the obverse at 6 and 7 o clock on the fist coin.

Second coin, even though it is uncertified. IMO, it looks genuine.

Be VERY careful. The no-no site (Chinese counterfeit wholesale site) has some fairly convincing fakes of these early haves.

I'll take the first one since its slabbed. If the second one slabs, then maybe the second one

IMHO, #2. That said, if the price of #1 is significantly more, I'd go with #1 which I regard as an almost comparable coin. My reasoning is that the wear pattern on #2 appears more balanced; this, to my eye.

The first looks like a slightly better grade, but I like the color of the second one better. The second would be my choice.

Both coins are with known established dealers that some of my fellow CCF members would know. so I trust them to be genuine.
My choice leaned towards #2 also. The main reason was that the motto around the periphery on the reverse was stronger.
I felt they were very close otherwise in grade.
I do like the hair detail on #1 better, but the stronger lettering on the #2 reverse outweighed it in my opinion.
I want to thank everyone for there reply's. I do appreciate everyone's comments and opinions.
