jacek99 New Member Canada 43 Posts	Posted 04/07/2017 6:24 pm I reached out to the owner of the ch. 9030 1929 $10 (my other post) and was working out a deal for that note and he mentioned this one. We ended up making a deal for both. From all the feedback I've received, I'm happy I got them. Seem to be two nice rare and hard to come by notes. Feeling better and better about the deal I made. The closest comparable I found is an 1882 Date Back that Lyn Knight sold in a 2008 auction for $5,462.50. As to whether this note or the $10 is more valuable, I cannot say with certainty. GregAlex Pillar of the Community United States 824 Posts	Posted 04/14/2017 12:57 am Here's an historic photo of the Paine Building, which also housed the WW National Bank. In 1921 they built a new, more ornate bank building, but this one was probably where they issued your note. I'll have to try to figure out where the original building was located. GregAlex Pillar of the Community United States 824 Posts	Posted 05/13/2017 12:09 am We finally got to Walla Walla yesterday and, indeed, the Paine Building is still standing. The lower level has been gutted but I took a pic through the window -- this is the precise space the original FNB was located. Right next door, separated by an alley, is the "new" bank building, now occupied by Banner Bank. Report this Post to the Staff
