1959 Strike Thur & A 1-DR-002 Anyone?

amac44 Member United States 3242 Posts	Posted 04/10/2008 07:15 am I went thur 10 more coins and found this one. the 1st 9 seams to have a planchet gap/hole or pull back from hot die? & the 9 of 59 has a thin line of copper 3/4 of the # looks like a paw mark most likely beard or hair broken die chip Liberty has some doubling that by Y looking serif mark by B&E sticks out like a letter would but a little lower strike. I just wish I could get this large that 2.5X so you can see the Y better the reverse has the marker of 1DR-002 Even has the gouge in motto D/D one cent Edited by amac44 04/11/2008 4:26 pm Report this Post to the Staff

You can see the damage on the ONE and the N of CENT, as well as the upper right portion of the Memorial building. I don't think that counting machine damage is useable as markers.
