Hi everyone! I'm new to the forum and just found this in my penny jar. Just inside the rim there appears to be what looks like a second rim running from by the date and all the way through the word "trust". After it goes through the T in trust the line gets a lot fainter and drops down on to the top of the head. From there it looks like a slight crack in the head but that was the spot I had the most trouble photographing.

I think it may be some type of striking error but I really don't know. Any feedback is greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

Sorry if the photos aren't that great

Unfortunately, your coin is just showing signs of a worn die which is notorious for the 80's decade. The tough one for this time period is finding one that doesn't have it.

It is caused by a worn die and can be found often. There's really no added value.
