Hi, I'm New here but been collecting USA coins awhile. I need some help please. I have a 71d that appears to have been minted on the reverse and tdie spun 160 degrees. It's not been vised against another coin. Is there any information anywhere on this error is it a one of a kind? Got it in pocket change.

Good morning, thanks for the welcome. I will with the help of Becca"my beautiful wife", endeavor to figure out how to post pics. But it's almost blurry the way it's struck twice. That's what caught my eye to it.

I just reread my initial post and made an error. It was struck on the reverse, and I believe it was struck again after spinning 160 degrees, so it basically has two full reverses mixed on the coin. It's very difficult to photograph

Hello, we'll be able to give a better answer after you are able to upload pictures. If it only appears that the reverse was struck twice and the obverse is normal, my gut reaction is that the coin was altered after the mint. A coin that was double struck at the mint would have signs of it on both sides.

You can see I hope, small lettering amongst the one cent. The building also runs from "states" down/across the other building. The lettering isn't backwards so it wasn't vised to another coin.

Any ideas? It's not burnt, or bent. Rim looks good. I spent 4 hours trying to figure out what I was seeing.
