The coin to me doesn't look like a traditional Chinese cash coin, rather it looks to be more of a modern fantasy issue. But, I may be wrong.

Modern good luck charm. Only the last two emperors issued machine-struck cash coins, and this isn't either one. I think it is modeled after one of the Song dynasty emperors of about a thousand years ago.
