Hey Kurt I think my picture is better then yours for the simple reason you have to concentrate to see the extra line

Andre, LOL. Yes...your picture makes the viewer think more! Knowing how Dick has a bit of a vision problem, I posted the photo from Charest.

Andre, kurt speaks with the truth! I do have a vision problem! I'm getting so I don't know where to look at the girls, anymore! :-)))! Thanks for the Picture, and the diag, as well. Now I know what I am looking for. I'll get onto the Canadains way of looking, and saying, eventually, and with the help of many! After Learning to "speak Canadian, then I'll learn Inglish, or is it French? Or both! Dick

Andre, I am well aware of that! You were the one who taught me a little bitaboutn verb forms, as I recall. They were so familiar, altho I never studied French, I can iunderstand a great deal of what is meant, due to my having studied Spanist in the early '40's. I currently Speak, read write, and think in Spanish. it concerned a response by another membe: je me souniens", and when I asked, you were there to help. It is too bad I don't live close to the Quebec aerea, or I would have learned French, too. I realize this has nothing to do with coins, but it started off that way, and I'll bring it back to the subject at ahand: the 1964XWL, nickel. I have a few other dates, but I think that one is the only one I have of that date. kurt has the 2008 Guide, and While I have the CDROM, it is next to useless, because of my eyes. BTW, don't be concerned about your inglish coming out of a french guy! I have seen much worse inglish come out of AMERIVCAN GUYS! Dick

Dick, here is a close-up of an actual EWL; notice the top water line touches the K.G (left side of the coin if you look at the reverse side up). Marc

Marc, Yes, it is easy to see, once one knows what one is looking for! I will look for seven lines, and know what I am looking at, when I do see them. This has been a very good day for me! I learned what a "loonie", and a 'twoonie" are, and also to keep clear of the "threenie"! Dick

canadian_coins: that's a great example of the XWL! "also to keep clear of the "threenie"!" And don't forget the next one in the series, the "Phoney"
