Hey I am not to great with error coins, as I have only started collecting coins and such since February this year!

But this is a coin I had for about a week and just noticed after finding a second one, that mine has a Cud error in the year!

The coin appears to be in a really good condition to.

Any idea of what this might be worth, and I can upload more photos to show off the quality of the coin.

Waiting to get coin flips to keep safe.

@John100 Okay, I think maybe if it had the Cuds in the middle two zeros would of looked like those old glass people would wear. xD

Thanks tho, appreciate the welcome. Glad to be on here finally! :)

These are common and it is a Die Chip that you are looking at.

Cuds involve the rim. What you have is a die chip. Some people might like it, but I don't really care for minor varieties like these.

Edit: " Cud" isn't an abbreviation of anything, and why it is often capitalised, I don't know.

Ahh so a Die Chip, not a Cud? At least I will have a better idea for next time to know. Figured ti was a Cud just from watching american error coin videos.

about a month ago I found a 2010 Quarter with a heart shape (Struck Threw) the queens hair. But sold it, before I did proper research. and not sure if I missed out!

to the CCF! And to the world of Coin Collecting!

Agree minor error, but still really fun to find. Especially to new collectors.

You came to the right Forum for beginners. The pro's here are really nice and patient. Full of knowledge that they are ALWAYS willing to share. Don't be afraid to ask any questions no matter how minor it may seem.

Tomfetti!

That was me that you sold the 2010 quarter with the heart shaped strike through. I did get a good deal at $3.49 including shipping but if you listed it for $10, it may not have sold. But I have happily added it to my collection where it resides with many other unique strike through errors I have. Thanks and enjoy the forum!

@robmck1967 Haha that's awesome, figured you would be in this forum! yeah I think I had it up for $5.95 + $1.49 shipping, but lowered after a couple days or something. Glad someone on here got it & will keep in a collection!

Cheers man, and thanks for the welcome everyone I really appreciate it!
