I know this is a very minor variety and has very little value. But this is the 1st one I have found worth keeping for my collection. I have spotted several others, but the coin was in to bad a condition to be be worth putting in a 2x2.

Also found new way to light coins when taking pictures. Please tell me what you think of the quality and coloring on coin. Color is pretty close to in hand look.

Anyways...here are the photos.

In this next photo the red arrows are pointing to a clash that curves downward towards the 4. Hence the name Hanging 4 variety.

Do the whole coin pictures look okay?

Thanks for looking...Mont.

the over all color looks off to me..this coin kinda looks like a high AU that was dipped..i could be wrong though.

the hanger is very faint, but good eye and determination..i don't think i'd have noticed the die clash..i am headed to the post office later today, I picked up some high unc hangers a while ago and they're just sitting around, if you wanna shoot me a PM I can send you one

those are spectacular pictures and close ups by the way

Thanks for your reply dollarman.

I do believe it is high AU. But the obverse seem cloudier than the reverse. If I put lighting right on coin the cloudiness washes out the obverse completely. The reverse is really clear.

In hand both sides look like they have full luster and the "cloudiness is not noticeable.

The Hanger is really noticeable under my loop.Stands out like a sore thumb. I have always had a hard time getting clash marks to show up on pictures. Especially on coins this small with this much luster.

On another note. Since I already have a date set of Canadian cents I am now after upgrades and all the different varieties.

Do they make an album that has all the holes for the different varieties? How does one go about getting unsearched rolls or lots of Canadian Cents and nickels here in the US?

1964 is notorious for 1-cent weak strikes... that coin looks like a weakly struck mint state to me. (I think you will enjoy my upcoming presentation at Coin Expo Dollarman... )
