I recently began a collection and ive started with various 50ps and a nice £2 coin. I was wondering how much they're worth but prices are all 9ver the place on ebay. Could somebody tell me. Heres a list of what ive got :
two battle of Hastings 2016 50 pence piece
A 2003 womens suffrage 1903 50 pence piece
A 1998 Bailiwick of Jersey 50 pence piece
A 2016 team GB aquatics 50 pence piece
A 1997 isle of man moto gp 50 pence piece
A 2016 Mrs Tiggy winkle 50 pence piece
A 2016 jester £2 coin, one of the 3 Shakespeare coins

Like I said I would really like a solid value on these (not like I'm up for selling them anytime soon)

Cheers - Zach

Welcome Zach. You have to give forum more info to evaluate possible values. Good pics too. As is, it's like asking what my 2016 Ford Mustang is worth in value.

At the moment they are only really worth face value, but obviously some people are lazy and need them and might pay 2 or 3 times face value if they are immaculate just to fill a hole... A quick ebay search (search the sold listings) may give you a clue but bottom line is they are worth what somebody is prepared to pay for them. That's why the prices are so erratic..

The one to keep your eye out for is the Kew Gardens one... if you google and find the wiki article there are lists of mintages too, these are a good indicator which ones to look out for.

Condition is important Zac. Even with 'scarcer' coins, if they show signs of wear, bag marks or dints, their value to a collector will drop significantly. Hence the difficulty of giving a 'solid' value.

And remember, even the 'rarest' 50p has a mintage of 210,000, making it laughable compared to actually rare coins of which less than 10 examples are known to exist. Though that hasn't stopped people paying stupid amounts on ebay!

ebay for modern coins is really a joke.I wouldn't truly value them at any more than face...but you do get numbwits.
Go for pre 1900 in Unc and then you maybe can turn a reasonable return.
The £300 no date 20p's are worth 1/10th of what they were sold for a couple of years ago.Get along to coin fairs (Midland is great) you can buy half a dozen 13C silver pennies for the price of a Kew gardens 50p...BTW the 50p Kews are mainly Chinese copies now!!
