This was a cool find, and the most offset I have found. My question is to what degree/percent does said coin have to be off centered and/or blank to be considered to have a premium? Also, how would I figure out the degree of the offset on this coin? Does one just visually estimate?

That's a very cool and fairly rare find. But at least for now off center cents from this era are not selling for much of a premium. It is a far better time to buy them than to sell them, as you can get really nice ones for just a couple dollars. I sold this one a couple days ago for $5.30 at auction on ebay.

Yeah, 2000 is a classic date for LMC off center errors, so they dont command a premium. Still a nice find

Heres mine I picked up in a trade a year or so ago, its in an old ANACS soap bar holder.

That's a really neat find.

It's only a little off-center but does affect the devices (i.e. cutting them off) so I think it has a slight premium in value. It's hard to tell but, it looks to be about 8% off-center?

It's pretty simple. Measure the "blank" space at its widest point in millimeters (I guessed 1.5mm), divide that by 19 (total diameter) and multiply by 100. That's your off-center percentage.

Thank You! I will make a note of that. You was very close on your guess, it was 1.3 (granted my old calipers are accurate, but more likely, (granted I read them correctly)), which turns out to be 6.84 percent off center

That is about a small an off-center as you can have and still be an off-center. Any less and none of the design would be off the planchet which would make it an uncentered broadstrike, not an off-center.
