Really nice - that is a great one Is the Spike head one of the die markers for the DDR?

Don't forget to get your name in "Lights" for your Spike Head if it's not listed.

Thanks ya'll, I'm glad you like it. Pretty neat huh? CC, I'm not really a quarter guy, but I'll say no. I'm sure the Die Crack developed sometime well after many of these were struck. I think the little tree kind of speaks for itself on this one. lol Yes, I must contact JC and get my name in the lights! I better take a look on COC first though.

Edit: In retrospect, It might be a marker for a later die stage of the variety.

The area of origin of the doubling is pointed out by the red arrows while the doubling is pointed out with black arrow

Variety Coin Register Number: VCR#2/DDR#2: Doubling is seen as a portion of the third full evergreen tree to the right of the state outline positioned atop the rock. Extremely similar to DDR#2 except for position.

Cross References: CPG: Not Known, CONECA: DDR-002, Wexler: WDDR-002, Crawford: DDR-002

Cause: Titled Hub Doubling

05 Minnesota DDR's were big hit and fun finding them, I also found , then a new DDR and submitted,KP designated it as the DDR #72
