The date took a hit; the metal is pushed up in the zero. PSD, in my view.

I find that hard to believe ,that it could get hit and push it like that , and the heavy eye lid , lip and chin

Damage EVERYWHERE! I went and looked at the images again to try to find something, but it just looks like an accumulation of hits.

It was probably damaged by a Vending machine or a coin counter. PSD. Not it is parallel to the rim, so it was something mechanical that caused the damage, not coin contact or coin wrapper damage.
