This appears to be a very slightly clipped planchet, good catch on this one. I hope no one took a bite out of this coin, for their sake, but could you get a picture of the clipped surface (side of the coin)?

It is the real deal. Note the ends of the rim show, the weakness on the obverse letters. That tells me it is a legit incomplete planchet.
