In Canada, we've been using the same coin design for 80 years now since 1937. Nothing has changed. The dollar was added in 1987 and the two dollar was added in 1996. Those, too, have not changed since their inception.

Are there any other countries that still use classic coin designs from almost a century ago?

Abe Lincoln for 108 years. Along with all the rest of our stale designs in the US.

Switzerland's 2 franken coin has been around for quite a long time, being 143 years old. The first year the design was used was in 1874, the composition was then changed from silver to copper-nickel in 1968, and is now still being made today (here are two links). Switzerland also has designs on other denominations that started in the 1870s that are still used today, but I think the 2 franken is their oldest.
