Please check the photos. I think I have found a P.I. 1918-S 50 centavos with inverted mintmark. I will post 8 pictures. The first 4 are the inverted variety, and the last 4 are normal. Please let me know what you think.
I agree, the coin shown at the top does appear to exhibit an inverted S mint mark. Congrats!
The 1918-S 50 Centavos with "Inverted S" is a well-documented variety of the US-Philippines series; catalogs of the series have included it for at least 15+ years at this point.
In the same grade, the Inverted S variety will often sell for three to four times the going price of the regular 1918-S.
