Came across this tonight and it was the die crack in the date that actually caught my attention because it looks like the numbers are roped together. Then I saw this neat die crack on the bust. Thought I would ask it there was anything special about it (hopeful thinking especially after the Retained Cud that I just had)

Thanks for checking it out.

My goodness, look at the flow lines around the rim! That and all the worn die indications, stretching and mushiness . Should have been retired long time ago...

Maybe need to name this one the " Walmart Greeter"...

A Poorman's Doubled Die too, never seen cracks betwixt digits before, wow! Bigger cracks than a pulmber's behind!

On some of these that we see it is a wonder on how they stay together to punch the planchet. For me the more cracked up the better (at least for now until I learn and find more DD's & other varieties).

Wow. There's a lot going on with that cent. There's the die crack on the date, what I think is a lamination error on the lower bust and the partially grease-filled letters (I and T) on the reverse!

Also, die cracks on the head and whatever caused the weak L in Liberty (grease?).

It looks like every more common anomaly has happened to this coin all at once.

Thanks a bunch John, I needed a direction to look into.

Seems to be a match to RIDB-1c-1955-20 except mine is a different die stage? I may have an extra die crack further up the top of the head compared to the listing.

I'll do some side by sides and post them for confirmation.

You're right John1. Revisiting it, I see the lighting correctly. Oops!

Thank you nfine, I think it is too.

Here are some side by sides. My head die cracks are a bit different, I seem to have an extra crack and chip above the listed coin. Don't know how much importance that holds as far as the listing match.
