I got this in change today and it looks like a rpm. I know that pennies get split plating but this doesn't look the same to me, wish I could get better pics. There's a small bar going through the P I can't get a pic of. It looks like the original P was tilted downward slightly and to the east of main mintmark What do you guys think?

There are no RPMs after 1989 because it became a part of the hub design.

It looks like Die Deterioration Doubling.

Not an RPM...more like worn die.

I don't believe it is possible to have an RPM dated after 1989. In 1990 they started engraving the date on the dies so RPM's are not possible.

Actually , only the cent and the nickel had their mintmarks punched into the master die in 1990. It wasn't until the next year that dimes quarters and half's followed suit.

Thanks for the link stoneman.

From what I've seen now, that's correct. However, there are no known 1990 RPMs. Maybe it's because no one is looking thinking that it stopped on every denomination after 1989.
