From the look of this penny it has been basically destroyed. It's hard to see the year but it almost looks like a 1969 with my loupe but, not certain. People would do this to mimic dimes for parking meters from what I've learned about it. I just wanted to post it to let anyone see it and what it looks like if you come across one. I compared it to a new penny to show how thin it is.
