Gut instinct is VG and G, but I'll head over to photograde for a comparison.

They both look like split grades to me, with reverses being worse than obverse in both cases. My VG and G looks okay for obverses, but the reverses may be G and AG?

I wouldn't classify them as low ballers , to much meat on their bones . The 36-D is a better date coin , has some value to it .
