While at the Bay State Show I was "duped" into spending all my cash by two brassy ladies !
An old fool meets two beautiful girls.
When will I ever learn to stay home on Fridays.

@FR, looks like you gave Faustina a hickey on her neck.

Seriously though, great coins!

Excellent examples of Imperial bronze. Any chance we'll see these in their respective threads of the Women of Rome project (which is not supposed to be all silver, but coins of all metals used)? We rarely get Imperial bronze there.

My great weakness is finding what I am looking for (decent condition bronze) and having a seller make me a very very reasonable offer.
The two "ladies" came to a just a wee bit more than one fine crisp portrait of Mr Franklin.
Yes ..... Julia is a definite "keeper" and it looks as if a long bath and massage just might make her look quite youthful again !

After this I had expected to make it to the exits with my personal presidential portrait gallery intact but my old friend Nick, sensing some blood in the water offered to extend a small loan on a bag of later (billon) AE bronzes.
I snatched the bag and ran for the car !

So one small mystery woman I now own. Hardly worth a separate thread (perhaps ?).
Who is this ? I cant quite nail it. Perhaps a mule to confuse me ?

I see a double strike and perhaps FL start of legend ?
Reverse PAX PVBLICA and the mint hard to read but possible ARL ?

Never was great attributing 4th century

I suspect your double strike is one of the Pax AE3/4s for Helena.

But of course a postumous issue from the Grandchildren !
I had looked at Helena quickly and saw no PAX reverses.
Thank you sir !
