Hello All,

I have this lookalike crusader coin. Which I can't place.
It has the appareance of a token? but dated begin 19th century?

The cross is the one that knights had on the're chest.

Who happens to know this piece?

Sorry Vince, but I got nothing on this one. It doesn't look like a coin to me but rather a token. That cross doesn't look like Malta to me and I've never seen one quite like that.

In order to nail down the inscriptions, it would help to have a close-up view of the coin as I've mentioned in some of your other threads.

Those inscriptions are undecipherable by me. You were right about the cross coming from heraldry. It is a form of cross moline called a cross cercelee. That's all I've got.
