Is this 1925 Australian penny real or fake? The top of the "5" looks off to me. Whatcha think?

Hi,
At first look, this coin appears authentic, but you are right, the top of the 5 does look a bit off. Unfortunately I don't really know if this is a tell-tale sign of a fake but I look forward to hearing what others think. I personally think that it is not authentic.

OK, the "fat" bottom/base of the "1" and the serif on the bottom of the "2" also look questionable after comparing to examples (certified and not certified) at the Heritage auction site.

The bottom of the "1"s I see on the Heritage site have a sharper angle between the upright and the base, with a "thinner" base.

Varieties?

Too bad.

I agree--pics are not the best. Funny how the date is the part that is least clear in these pics. But the bottom of the obverse also appears a bit less clear, so maybe it's just the way/focus the pictures were taken. I do not have the coin in hand.
