hi everyone. I'm a newbie to collecting coins. I started out buying matching mint and proof sets. liked the 2009 proof 6 coin set also known as a left overs.i like to start looking for hard to find coins first. a great challenge to begin and enjoy. any comments or suggestions will be appreciated. I also posted this message on some other forums to get a better perspective on this subject. thanx a lot!!

IF you are roll searching it is hard to find 2009-P & D Jefferson nickels.

in that time frame any 2009 coin. Hard to find coins are varieties and errors, I am still looking for a 99 WAM

You can still find nice attractive AU examples of some of the early dates. I'd save any nice attractive uncs from later years as well.
Time don't fly, it bounds and leaps.

Personally I like to CRH (Coin Roll Hunt), that in itself has its challenges. Like trying to find Key Dates, varieties, errors, or just simply one of every mint mark and year. Plus it is fun and challenging to better your previous coin (Improvement of grade/eye appeal ect...). It did take me a while to find my first 2009 Nickels, however they where not very attractive, so I'm still on the look out.
