Well, unfortunately nothing out of the ordinary die issues from what I can see. I think around the profile you are seeing Die Abrasion / over polished dies. The fat mushy devices are Die Deterioration along with the orange peel effect and some MD. Just my opinion though.

A very tired and soon to be retired die. Note on this coin there is not heavy die flow on the fields? That is because of a previous recent die polishing, they were removed. Now just the devices are showing the deterioration/chipping of the devices that are affected towards the center. (die deterioration is usually towards the rim direction)
