Hi,
I found a sale for a 1918 S Standing Liberty quarter, and I just wanted to make sure I'm not just being crazy. The coin is so worn but the upper loop makes it look like a 7 and the lower loop is almost filled but it could just be that way because of the wear. The 8 does look a little thick. Just posting this to be absolutely sure I'm not passing this up.

EDIT:
Here's a picture of the full coin. Sorry if it's not the best, it's not mine.

Hard to tell with the wear, but couldn't give a definite no. Have you checked the other markers? The stairs are usually weak and the left foot appears to hover above the step, which your has. There is also a little "pimple" that appears at the eastern edge of the bottom step, due west of the westward point of the star, which I don't see. There is usually a die clash at the right knee that sort of resembles teeth marks, and many specimens have a die clash with some of the letters in "America" from the reverse appearing on the wall below "We Trust". Hope that helps some.

Bottom loop of the 8 is normal, so I'll say no.

Look at the loop of the 8 and the open circle in a genuine one.

To me it does not; there is almost nothing left of the lower loop on a genuine example.
